Altera's SOPC 2003 Conferences in Europe to Discuss the Latest in Programmable Logic

   What: Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR) today announced the schedule for
         its SOPC World 2003 conferences in Kista, Sweden; Espoo, Finland;
         Paris, France; and Bedfordshire, UK. System architects, designers,
         and manufacturing executives are invited to attend free technical
         sessions and live demonstrations on how to implement the latest in
         programmable logic technology including embedded processors, block-
         based design, digital signal processing (DSP) functions, high-speed
         system design, and high-speed memory interfacing and control. In
         addition, Altera will be providing an advanced look at three new
         product families, including Altera's 90-nm FPGAs scheduled for
         release in 2004.
